Transition

The Belmont County Board of Developmental Disabilities works with local public school districts to help ensure that all children with disabilities have available to them a free appropriate public education and related services to meet their unique needs. This coordinated effort is designed to prepare students for further education, employment and a self-determined life as adults.

Bridges to Transition

The Belmont County Board of Developmental Disabilities is pleased to be a part of Bridges to Transition, a grant-funded, statewide initiative for eligible students ages 14-25.

Bridges to Transition helps young adults with developmental disabilities develop appropriate work skills and find employment within their community.

Bridges is offered through Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (formerly known as Rehabilitation Services Commission) and is managed by the Ohio Association of County Boards (OACB).
